Ada Joyce Copeland Bergstrom

Ada Joyce Copeland Bergstrom, 86 of Stanton passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm Monday, March 18, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Midland, Tx Joyce was born on March 31, 1937 in Contra Costa County CA to Hubbard Copeland and Mildred (Mit) Davis Copeland. Joyce grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland high school, then went on to earn her degree in Home Economics from Texas Women’s University.

Joyce touched so many young lives in the 33 years of being in the classroom. Since retirement there is nothing, she enjoyed more than researching ancestry. She compiled a family tree that most professional researchers would envy. She shared this information with family and friends that would listen. Joyce had a very strong personality and spirit; but loved everyone and made a lasting impact on everyone that came in contact with her.

In her younger years she enjoyed spending vacations in Meridian, Tx with her extended family. Thanks to Kim and Bo Powers (cousins) she was able to spend her last Thanksgiving back in Meridian surrounded by family and friends. She was excited to visit the old family farm and the gravesites of her grandparents, parents, brother and many aunts and uncles.

Joyce will be truly missed by so many, but we are grateful that she is finally at peace and with her beloved Stan.

A huge thank you to the caregivers, especially Delia Zapata for helping Joyce this last year. As well as a special thank you to Hospice of Midland for all their care and support in these last couple of months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to one of Joyce's favorite charities, Tarzan Church of Christ, Cal Farley or St. Jude.
