When Clayton Fryar was promoted to athletic director and head football coach at Garden City High School, he had to find someone to fill the coaching position he previously held. He found his choice in Gage Bozeman, a young coach with energy and a strong academic background.
“I’ve known him a long time,” Fryar said. “He’s young, smart and brings a lot of energy. That’s exactly what we needed to go with our experienced coaching staff.”
Bozeman played sixman football growing up in Newcastle and most recently served as head football coach at Rule ISD. He is early in his teaching and coaching career, this will be his third year in the profession, but Fryar said Bozeman already stands out both on the field and in the classroom.
