MIDLAND - James Wallace Moore, Jr., 83 of Midland, died Jan. 28, 2014. Memorial services were Jan. 31 at Crestview Baptist Church with Jimmy Daniel officiating. He was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Quanah to Josephine and James Wallace Moore, Sr. He married Patricia Knight on Feb. 12, 1954, in Haleyville, AL. He and his family moved from Alabama to Stanton where they lived in the convent until they moved to Midland in 1957. Mr. Moore retired from T.U. Electric in 1992 after 37 years. He was a member of the CAF and was the past president of the High Sky Wing. He was active in the Ghost Squadron, a member of The Blastards, volunteered at Midland Crisis Center and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. His family and friends were very important to him, and he will be remembered for his mischievous grin. Survivors include his grandson, Michael Arden of Los Angeles, California; daughter-in-law, Maureen Bennett and her husband, Spencer of Midland; and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Moore, and two sons, Kelly and Michael Moore. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be donated to Hospice Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702 or Midland Crisis Center, P.O. Box 10081, Midland, Texas 79702. Arrangements were under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
