Historic snowfall event causes additional harvest, ginning delays across the area

Anyone in the cotton industry will tell you that every crop year is different, and 2015 undoubtedly will be remembered for its atypical weather events, from floods at planting time to a end-season blizzard. Just after Christmas, a winter storm system dumped more than 11 inches of snow in Lubbock and reportedly up to 20 inches in the northwestern part of the PCG service area, near the Texas-New Mexico state line.
