Grant to fund underground water’s future

LUBBOCK and WEST TEXAS - It’s the life blood of this part of Texas - and thanks to $2.4 million in federal dollars, Texas Tech University and several other schools including West Texas A&M University will be trying to figure out the status of the Ogallala Aquifer and just how long this part of the world can depend on that critical water source. The underground water supply stretches from Martin County and the Permian Basin all the way to South Dakota and beyond.
