Bout Tree Fiddy, a homebred Ivory James gelding racing for Patrick Swan and Rusty Allred and the secondfastest qualifier, reached the wire first in the $117,780 Rocky Mountain Futurity at Arapahoe Park on Sunday. Ridden by Russell Vicchrilli for trainer Tomey Swan and aided by a reported 10-mph tail wind, Bout Tree Fiddy defeated 2-1 favorite In Kuh Hoots by one length in :17.387. The Oklahoma-bred gelding was coming off of a second-place finish to fastest qualifier Mini Mink in the first of five trials on June 24.
