STANTON - Funeral mass for Josefa Ramos of Stanton was Oct. 19 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stanton with Father Timothy Schwertner officiating. Interment followed at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. She was born April 20, 1928, in Lenorah. She died in her home Oct. 16, 2016, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked for the Stanton ISD for many years. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Alter Society and Guadalupanas. She was a loving mother and grandmother. The most important things in life were her family members. She is survived by two daughters Teri (Manuel) Marquez of Stanton, and Jeanne Rodriquez of Midland; one son Auggie and (Joanna) Ramos of Stanton; granddaughters Isabel Marquez and husband Johnny Cazares of Midland, Amanda and Mark Gonzalez of Stanton, Seleste Molinar of Midland, grandsons Sammy Rodriquez Jr. of Midland, Jason and Amanda Rodriguez of Allen, and Eric and Raynita Ramos of Stanton; a sister Ramona Esparza of Stanton; brothers Senaido Hernandez Jr. of Midland and Manuel Hernandez of Odessa. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Augustine Ramos Sr., son Tommy Ramos, granddaughter Belinda Baeza, son in law Sammy Rodriguez Sr., her parents, two sisters and three brothers. Serving as pallbearers were Auggie Ramos, Manuel Marquez, Eric Ramos, Sammy Rodriguez, Jason Rodriguez Sr., Jason Rodriguez Jr., Mark Gonzalez, and Johnny Cazares. Honorary Pallbearers were Elisandro Hernandez, Nathaniel Lopez, Maximus Lopez and Alijah Rodriguez.
