Wildcat offense shorts out at regionals

ABILENE – The worst two offensive quarters Grady has had this season ended up being the final two of the season as the Wildcats suffered a scoring drought at the most inopportune time allowing No. 4 Borden County to ease away to a 51-31 victory in the Region II-A final at Moody Coliseum Saturday night.

After taking a slim 21-20 halftime lead, the Wildcat offense fell to shambles scoring just 10 points over the first 10 minutes of the second half before going scoreless the final six minutes of the game. Borden County on the other hand thrived with rebounds and fast break opportunities and scored 31 second half points.
