Lillian White

DENVER CITY - Lillian White, 101 of Denver City and formerly of Stanton, died March 19, 2017. Graveside funeral services were March 21 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Rev. David Harp officiating. Mrs. White was born Feb.16, 1916, in Miami, Okla., to Levi P. and Emma Bridgett. She graduated from Miami High School and attended business college in Dunkirk, New York. She married Robert White March 16, 1946, in Parsons, Kansas. She served as secretary for the First Baptist Church in Stanton until her retirement. Mrs. White worked with the Mother’s Day Out program at the church after her retirement and touched the lives of many young children during her work with this program. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Randy Casey of Denver City; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1168, Stanton, Texas 79782 or the Yoakum County Hospital Auxiliary (Pink Pantry), 400 N.
