Martin County steps up to help with relief efforts for fellow Texans

MARTIN COUNTY - The outpouring of help from all across Texas and around the world for those slammed by Hurricane Harvey includes many local efforts in Stanton and Martin County.

When Reggie Franklin’s neighbors Caleb and Andrea Wilson told him they wanted to put together some relief efforts for the folks in some of the smaller towns hit by Harvey, he and his crew at Franklins jumped right in the middle of the idea.

Three truckloads have already gone south - big trucks with 36 pallets of water, with pallets of dry dog food, all sorts of commodities - and more stockpiles are being gathered to truck south.
