Stanton falls to Idalou, wraps up fourth seed in district

IDALOU – Idalou put the game out of reach with two big rushing touchdowns in the third quarter against Stanton at Reddell Field in a District 2-3A Division II contest Friday night.

Idalou was quick out of the gate scoring 20 straight points. Stanton answered in the second quarter with Adrian Rodriguez rushing for a score and Wes Ulmer catching a seven yard touchdown pass from Reagan Nichols. Chris Hernandez converted both extra point kicks to cut the Wildcat’s lead to 20-14.

The final score of the first half would come off the foot of Idalou’s Landon Reeves with a 46 yard field goal giving Idalou a 23-14 halftime lead.
