Voters say YES to kids, pass $35m bond issue

GRADY - Voters in the Grady school district overwhelmingly approved a school bond issue Tuesday, saying yes to a $35 million improvement and renovation package for the school in the northern part of Martin County.

The 110 to 44 final count came at a time when voters almost everywhere in the state said they wanted to improve their schools and invest in the children of the state.

Bonds werd approved in little school districts like New Diana, Grady and others right on up to the one billion dollar bond approval Austin voters said yes to and the $750 million okayed in Fort Worth and other major urban school districts around the Houston area.
