G P Harrell, Jr., “Tooter”

BIG SPRING - G P Harrell, Jr., “Tooter”, of Kingsland, formerly of Stanton, died Dec. 17, 2017 in Big Spring. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Dec. 21, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 20, at the Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton. He was born Mar. 14, 1952 in Stanton, to G P and Gene Harrell. He was preceded in death by his parents. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1970. He farmed in the Courtney area for many years. He bred and raised game chickens, enjoyed cooking and holding family bar-b-ques and gatherings at his home. He is remembered as being big hearted and kind to all. Survivors include two sons, Chad Harrell of Austin and Trey Harrell and wife, Sherra of Lenorah; one daughter, Kelly Means and husband, Monty of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Baylor, Quint, Briley, Sawyer and Wes; three sisters, June Sly and husband, David of May, Barbara Dorner and Kay Harrell both of Kingsland; one aunt, Katie White of Marlow, Oklahoma; one uncle, Micky Allen and wife, Nancy of Arlington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
