Buffalo numbers climb to 82 players as Stanton prepares for first action

STANTON – It’s been a busy week for the Stanton Buffaloes as practices have ramped up with the addition of full contact drills, the first day of school and preparations for the first scrimmage of the football season.

Many of the Buffaloes completed the University Interscholastic League’s mandatory five day acclimation period last Friday and were able to add the full football contact regalia at the start of this week’s practices.

The addition of the extra equipment helped change the mindset of the Buffaloes. “The pad changed our intensity of practice,” stated Stanon coach Jerry Burkhart. “We were able to get more physical and develop some mental toughness.”
