Grady girls fall to Coyotes and Sands, get G-City next

GRADY – Grady’s varsity girls basketball team is on a two game skid with losses to Borden County and Sands and now sits at 2-3 in District 8A. Grady got Sands best effort of the year Friday night and lost 42-31. Raina Short and Jaden Rodriguez finished in double digits with 13 and 10 points to lead Grady. Zoey Ruiz tosses in four points and Maddy Garza and Haydn Burge had two and one. The Wildcats barely lost to Borden County on the road 51-49 on Tuesday. Short had a game high 23 points and Rodriguez added 11. Burge scored eight points followed by Sage McAnally with four and Brenna Garza had three. Both high school teams play Garden City at home on Friday and close out district play Tuesday at Klondike.
