Wrecks on I-20 takes three lives in less than 12 hours

STANTON - Two separate accidents between Stanton and Big Spring took the lives of three individuals on July 10. The first accident occurred at 5:32 p.m., 10 miles east of Stanton on Interstate 20 in Howard County. Five vehicles were involved in the accident that took the life of Joseph A Rocznaik (75) of Odessa.

The accident was caused when Emanuel C. Piper, (45) of Vernon, failed to control his semi-trailer’s speed and struck Devin Grier, (22) of Seminole, and pushed him from the highway.
