STANTON - A "thorough investigation and hearing" into a dog attack on a young Stanton boy earlier this month has been completed by the local police department and justice of the peace.

Stanton Chief of Police Joe Bob Morales confirmed that the two dogs involved in the attack were euthanized after the owners relinquished them to city officials due to the animals causing bodily injury to a child.

The attack occurred Nov. 8 when David Taylor, 7, and his cousin Josiah Hall, 9, were taking out the trash.
