MARFA - Gonzalo Carrillo died on Nov. 20, 2019. He was born June 5, 1944, to Jesus Carrillo and Merced Mendez in Delicias, Chihuahua Mexico and raised in San Antonio Del Bravo, Chihuahua Mexico.

He was a man who enjoyed all people and made friends easily. He knew no stranger. He loved music, dancing, storytelling, and most of all laughter. He was a hardworking man who always provided for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, JoAnn Spitzer of Marfa; four daughters, Veronica Jo Molina of Stanton, Arabella Rodriguez and husband Luis of Odessa, Rebeca Carrillo of Stanton, and Ester White and husband Brad of Midland; one brother, Hernacilio Carrillo; one sister Lydia Nunez and husband Manuel all from Presidio; ten grandchildren, Melba Rodriguez, Alan Molina, Josh Rodriguez, Aryanna Molina, Adrianna Carrillo, James Molina, Xiana Rodriguez, Xavier Lussier, Raylee White, Luke White and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Merced Carrillo; granddaughter Stefany Merced Carrillo; brother, Jesus Carrillo and sister in law Margaret Carrillo; two sisters, Esperanza Carrillo, Esperanza Carrillo and brother, Rogelio Carrillo.

Serving as pallbearer were Brad White, Luis Rodriguez, Alan Molina, Josh Rodriguez, James Molina, and Xavier Lussier.

Visitation and a rosary were Nov. 21, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was Nov. 22, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
