Grady could be losing both its football and roundball coaches

GRADY - Trustees in Grady could be in the market for both a basketball coach and a football coach next fall. Fresh off another deep run into the state Class A roundball playoffs, Coach Thomas Clay has announced plans to move to a higher classification - possibly heading for Krum, a large, growing Class AAAA school east of the Dallas area. Clay, who’s been with the Wildcats for the past five years, may   ot be the only coach leaving Grady.  Football Coach Chris Kuykendall is considering a move to Oakwood, another Class A school, this one in deep East Texas. Clay will be coaching basketball at Krum, while Kuykendall has expressed interest in going into school administration. At presstime it was not clear whether he would be coaching at Oakwood or working as a school administrator - or both.
