Grady falls to Westbrook 46-0

GRADY - The Grady Wildcats never could get the offense going and the defense struggled to stop Westbrook in a 46-0 loss Thursday night at M.W. Tunnell Field in Grady.

The loss drops Grady to 2-3 on the season but the Wildcats look to get back to even with a road game at Robert Lee on Friday.

If ranking are any indication of a good game then the fans are in for a treat as the Steer sit just two spot back of the Wildcats in the sixmanfootball.com rankings.

New Deal beats Stanton in weather shortened game

NEW DEAL – Stanton is still looking for its second win of the season as 2A No. 7-ranked New Deal built a 14-0 advantage through three quarters before the game was called due to weather, Friday at Noland Stadium in New Deal.

Stanton’s defense was back to its hard hitting, stingy ways keeping New Deal scoreless in the first quarter. But New Deal managed two big plays late in the first half with two touchdowns, as Haden Caudill scored on a 13-yard run, and also threw an 11-yard TD pass to Dylan Jerden.

“We were very physical at the line of scrimmage and the secondary did an outstanding job of putting themselves in position to make plays,” said Stanton coach Cody Hogan. “We intercepted the ball on each of New Deal’s first two drives and allowed a minimal amount of yardage on the ground.”
