Stanton falls short in loss to Wink despite stunning comeback

STANTON — Stanton had its second win of the season in its grasp but the slippery victory managed to squeeze through the Buffs finger as Wink rolled out of town with a 35-26 win last Friday night at Buffalo Stadium in Stanton. It’s almost as if the Buffaloes have a bi-polar disorder.

Bulldogs’ Rios too much for Wildcats

GRADY – When competing against the top teams in the state, it takes an almost perfect performance to walk off the field with the win. Grady learned that lesson the hard way last Friday when several turnovers in the red zone allowed Ira to escape with a 51-26 victory. The Bulldogs managed the first score of the ball game with a 40 yard run by Ramiro Rios.

Wildcats look vastly better in second scrimmage; ready for season opener with Throck

Even though Grady is not ranked in the state top ten and Sands is an early season favorite for a district title and state run, the Wildcats pushed the Mustangs all over the field in the Cat’s second scrimmage of the season. Grady made the short trip east to Ackerly last week for a head-to-head with No. 7 preseason ranked Sands.

Stanton solid in second scrimmage of season; ready for Kermit on Friday

Stanton was a team that the professionals chose to miss the playoffs this season while Forsan is looking to make a run at a district title and Reagan County has hopes of improving on a dismal 2014 season Stanton, however, seems to have bought a few pair of Beats headphones and are drowning out all the outside noise.
