Tong thrashing gets woman trip to county jail

MARTIN COUNTY - It must have been something he said. Or maybe, something he didn’t say. Either way, he was in big trouble in a hurry this past week over in Chickenfighterville - that part of Martin County that unfortunately for sheriff’s deputies is too close to Midland and too far from Stanton.

The upshot of the battle in the kitchen was the arrest of Ginger Parum, a 35-year-old woman who used kitchen tongs to thrash the man in her life - using the utensil so well that officers decided she needed a little down time in the Martin County Jail. Parum has since bonded out on domestic abuse charges and is back in Chickenfighterville awaiting the bell for the next round.
