STANTON - Antonia Montez died Oct. 27, 2019. Rosary was recited on Oct. 30 at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Oct. 31, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

She was born May 6, 1929, in Ojinaga, Mexico. She was a Cursillista and a member of the Sacred Heart Society. She loved cooking, music, singing, dancing, watching her novelas and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Apolinar Montez; son, Ricky Montez; grandson, Joseph Juarez; sisters, Juana Salgado, Eva Valles; and brother, Willie Navarrette.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Villa, husband Raymond, Yolanda Juarez, husband Joe; sons, Joe Montez, wife Rachel, Sammy Montez, wife Betty; sisters, Anita Ramirez, Ermilia Gonzalez, Faustina Nunez, Dominga Mejia; brothers, Santos Navarrette, Adan Navarrette, Ramon Navarrette, Mike Navarrette, 16 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Villa Jr., Macario Sanchez, Alex Holguin, Samuel Montez, Richard Montez, and Scotty Montez.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
