MARTIN COUNTY - It’s that time of year again! And if it ain’t nailed down, the odds are pretty good there’s somebody out there lurking around with a brilliant criminal mind plotting to steal your stuff.
There’s gifts to buy and all that holiday dope to pay for - so why not take somebody else’s stuff to help pay the bills?
Unfortunately, both the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Stanton Police Department have to clean up the mess - and eventually they’ll nab the culprits.
Until then, both law enforcement outfits remind everyone to be on guard for suspicious folks sneaking around where they shouldn’t be.
The sheriff’s office continues investigating oilfield and vehicle thefts - tools and all sorts of equipment taken from locations and personal properties.
Currently - at least so far - there have been no reports of people breaking into homes and ripping off gifts and other items.
That’s happened in years past and serves as a reminder for everyone to be vigilant and help the law guys help you.
Any tips that can be offered always are greatly appreciated.
