MIDLAND - Grady’s junior high boy’s basketball team had an outstanding performance Monday night beating Midland TLCA 49-11.
Grady started the game with a 10-5 run and held TLCA scoreless in the second quarter to take a 20-5 halftime advantage.
Grady increased its lead to 39-11 after the third quarter and held TLCA scoreless again in the fourth quarter for the lopsided 49-11 victory.
Grady’s Kody Cates led all scorers with 12 points.
Hagen O’Donnell finished with a season high seven points while Chapman Sims scored six and Gunner Cherry added five.
Kellen Young, Dalton Saunders and Metejo De-Anda racked up four points each and Hunter McAnally had three points.
Blake Parker and Hunter Blaylock pitched in with two points each.
“This was a fun game,” said Grady coach Chris Short. “All 14 kids got to play in the game. I was very proud of all the kids.”
Grady improved to 3-1 on the season.
Next game on the schedule for Grady will be a road game at Borden County on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
