COLORADO CITY - Ashton Smith turned a few heads Saturday at the Colorado City High School powerlifting meet on Jan. 18 by lifting a total of 1,360 in his weight class. His effort was enough for the Stanton High School Buffalo to finish in 1st place in his weight class. For the Stanton girls team, Marisela Lozano tossed up some big numbers to finish with a second place medal in her weight class. Rounding out the top medal placers for the SHS team were Gena Lewis and Tyler Waggoner with third place performances in their respective divisions.
