KLONDIKE - Memorial services for Sharon Louise Airhart, 75, of Klondike were Feb. 14, at First Baptist Church in Lamesa with grandson, Pastor Matt Moore of Dalhart, officiating. A private burial followed at Dawson County Cemetery. Sharon Louise (Vogler) Airhart was born June 1, 1942, to Lawrence and Roxie Vogler. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Klondike Baptist Church when she was 6 six years old. She had a strong faith in the Lord and gave thanks in all things, Philippians 4:6-9. She graduated from Klondike High School, where she met the love of her life, Quinton Airhart. They were married June 10, 1960, and were married for 57 wonderful years. They spent the first years of their life together living in the Knott community and farming cotton. They then moved to their home in the Klondike community in 1973 with their three daughters; Elonna, Roxanne, and Shelby. She was a farmer’s wife and proud of it. She supported Quinton and was always there to bring seed or move a pickup when he needed her. She always loved the American Flag as is evident today, with a huge flag flying at their home. She was heavily involved in many ministries. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and helped with both the River Ministry and Women’s Ministry University. She was involved in the Mothers of Preschoolers ministry where she supported and encouraged young mothers and was the recipient of the 4-H Spur Award. She accomplished many things in her life, but her favorite jobs were being Mama and MeeMaw. She was an avid supporter of anything in which her children or grandchildren were involved. From basketball and football games to stock shows and FFA events, she was anywhere her family was. You could always hear her cheering from the bleachers and supporting her “loves” in their endeavors. She was always the first to tell them how proud she was of them and how much she loved them, and that feeling was always mutual. She is survived by her husband, Quinton; daughter Elonna Moore and her husband Richard of Welch; daughter Roxanne Gregory and her husband Todd of Klondike; and daughter Shelby Kerr and her husband Bruce of Tucson, Arizona. Her grandchildren: Blake and Laura Moore; Haley and Chris Goodman; Mackenzie and Braxton Allison; Jordan and Matt Moore; Mitchell and Cassidy Gregory; Jeremy Kerr and David Kerr. Her great-grandchildren: Denton, Reese, and Eleanor Moore; Grayer and Brigham Goodman; Lorelai and Lottie Allison; Walker and Emma Moore; and Analiese, Juliana, and Aston Kerr. Her sister Lillian Holcomb, her brother David Vogler and wife Dyann, and her brother Terry Vogler and wife Denise. She was preceded in death by her parents. Donations can be made in memory of Sharon to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Tango2 Research Foundation.
