Quilts of Valor

Presented to Martin County veterans last Saturday in the Carrasco Room at Midland College. Veterans receiving quilts were Albert Johnson, Nestor Hernandez, Carl Ritter Jr., James Jenkins, Bobby Holland, Shannon Black, Shawn Rivas, and Clemente Villa Jr. 27 total quilts were awarded.

Escamilla, Mitchell set to exchange vows Oct. 1

STANTON - Marisol Escamilla and Brady Wayne Mitchell are set to join together in marriage in the first Martin County Convent Wedding this Saturday, October 1, 2022. The bride-elect is the daughter of Carmel C. Escamilla of Stanton and the late Juan F Escamilla of El Tejamanil Guanajato, Mexico.

Grady cross county improves each week

LUBBOCK – Over the past two weeks, Grady cross country teams have been running on some tough courses. First was a rough course at the Toe Nail Trail Meet in Christoval. The varsity firls team finished seventh overall.

Mr. Ryan Andler: Ryan is the son of Nicole Andler and will be escorted by his mother at halftime. Ryan is a member of the National Honor Society, and plays Football and basketball for the buffaloes.

Mr. Alex Flores:

Alex is the son of Gilbert and Jessica Flores. He will be escorted by his mother at halftime. Alex has competed for the Buffaloes in basketball, football and track throughout his time at Stanton High School. He has also obtained his welding certification.

Mr. Adam Booth:

Adam is the son of Carl and Gina Booth. He will be escorted by his mother at halftime. Adam is a member of the National Honor Society and plays Basketball, Football and Baseball for the Buffaloes. He was selected as 1st team All District Catcher.

Mr. Angelo Holly:

Angelo is the son of Jay and Cassie Baker. He will be escorted by his mother at halftime. Angelo runs cross country and track and plays basketball for the Buffaloes. He qualified for Regionals last year in the High Jump.
