- The Stanton High School Track and Field season came to and end this weekend with the conclusion of the UIL 3A Region I Track Meet at Elmer Gray Stadium on the campus of Abilene Christian University in Abilene.

– The Garden City Bearkats and Lady Kats Track and Field teams were in San Angelo this past weekend competing in the UIL 1A Region I ITrack and Field Championships at Angelo State University. After battling wet weather all weekend, one Lady Kat put together and exceptional performance and earned a trip to the State Track Meet.

OVERALL DISTRICT 8-A TENNIS CHAMPIONS

– The Grady Wildcats and Lady Cats were in Levelland this past weekend competing in the UIL 1A Region I Track and Field Championships at South Plains College. After several weather delays, the track meet finally concluded on Saturday and one Lady Cat punched her ticket to the State Track Meet.

- The Garden City girls golf team will get a change to defend their state title after winning its fifth straight regional title. The Lady Kats won the Region II-A Golf Tournament on Tuesday at San Angelo’s Bentwood Country Club.

– Track and Field teams from Districts 11 and 12 meet at Robert Lee High School on Apr. 11 to compete in the Class A Area Track and Field Meet.

- The Garden City Varsity and Junior Varsity Tennis Teams competed at the Shallowater Mustang Classic in Lubbock and the JV Shallowater Invitational last week The Bearkats and Lady Kats competed against schools from classifications ranging from 2A, 3A, 4A and TAPPS schools.

- Glasscock County FFA CDE teams competed in the Texas Tech Area Meet on Apr. 13.
