COAHOMA - All three of the Local FFA Chapters competed at the El Rancho District Leadership Development Events on Thursday at Coahoma High School. Students were tested on their knowledge of FFA history, Creed recital, agriculture skills and issues, job interview skills and parliamentary procedure.
The Martin County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Martin County Historical Museum Board members and guests, celebrating the re-opening of the Historic Connell House.

Martin County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the Ackerly Fire Department’s new Firehouse. The Ackerly Fire Department is the primary response for the top third of Martin County. The bottom third of Dawson County.
Deputy Colin Porto was presented with a Life Saving Award from Martin County Sheriff Brad Ingram. This is the second such award Porto has received since being employed by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
