Bob Wilson and Mike Black drive Martin County’s first fire truck during Stanton’s Centennial Celebration parade on July 11. The 1928 fire truck made its Stanton debut after being restored by the Dallas Firefighters Museum in memory of longtime Stanton resident and volunteer firefighter Danny Ireton, who was killed in the line of duty in 2021. The restoration was funded through community donations, with Black providing significant support as one of the project’s major donors.
