STANTON - It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and dear friend. Jaime H. Salazar was all of these and so much more. Jaime passed away on Sept. 10, 2026, at the age of 93.
Jaime was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, to the late Felipa Hernandez and Mercario Salazar. He came to the United States at the age of 15 and built a life through hard work, dedication, and love for his family. Jaime loved caring for animals and raised goats and cattle for much of his life while working as a farmer.
Jaime was also a talented welder who enjoyed making discos and working on welding projects in his spare time. His children and grandchildren have cherished memories of spending time with him and helping him with his projects.
Above all, Jaime was a devoted family man. He was a loving father and grandfather and an especially proud and loving great-grandpa. His family was one of the greatest joys of his life, and the love, memories, and lessons he gave them will continue to be carried on for generations.
Jaime had a lighthearted spirit and loved joking around and making those around him smile. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His loved ones find comfort knowing that he is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Diamantina.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jaime Salazar Jr. and wife Elsa, and David Salazar; daughters, Alicia Salazar Fuentes and husband Gustavo, Leonor Salazar, Felipa Rubio, and Diamantina Salazar; sister, Cruz Salazar; brothers, Juan Salazar and wife Maria, Javier Salazar and wife Teresa, and Jesus Salazar and wife Lourdes; 16 grandchildren and 29 greatgrandchildren, as well as many extended family members and friends.
