GARDEN CITY – The Grady Wildcats junior varsity defeated the Garden City Bearkats with a decisive 34-21 victory Monday night in Garden City.
Grady took control of the game early with an 18-10 halftime lead. The Wildcats tossed in another 16 points over the final two quarters to secure the double digit win.
Cobe Cortez led all scorers with a season high 17 points.
Austin Aaron finished the game with nine points followed by Stetson Foster and Austin Snider with three points each and Colt Carson with two points.
“This was the second win of the season for this group,” stated Grady coach Chris Short. “This group of Wildcats played well from the start of the game to the end. Very proud of their hard work and effort.”
The junior varsity’s record improves to 2-10.
