STANTON - The Lady Buffaloes softball season is well underway.
At the end of February, Stanton hosted Crane to start the season with a 20-19 victory.
Ramirez led the team with four runs and Gonzales, Chapa, and Johnson, scored three runs each.
Lewis and Lozano crossed the plate twice while Hardin, Bratcher and Kargl posted on run each on the score board.
Stanton started the I-20 Tournament with a 6-5 loss to Monahans.
Johnson and Gonzales scored twice and Chapa accounted for the other run.
The Buffs second game of the tournament was a 10-10 tie with Pecos.
Johnson, Hardin, Chapa, Gonzales, and Ramirez each touched home plate twice.
In the final game of the tournament, Stanton rushed Odesssa High School Junior Varsity 13-2.
Gonzales dusted the bases three times while Ramiez, Lozano and Lewis scored two runs each.
Chapa, Johnson, Kargl, and Taylor rounded the bases on time each.
Stanton’s record is 2-1-1.
