STANTON - Stanton’s softball team split its last four games with opponents Winters, Midland Christian, Ballinger, and Greenwood.
The Lady Buff’s first win was a close 8-6 showing over Winters.
Winters took an early 4-1 lead after the first inning and stretched the gap to 6-2 after the second set of outs. Stanton exploded in the third inning to tie the game at 6-6 and went on to score the two game winning runs in the fourth.
Gonzalez led the team with three runs.
Kargl, Ramirez, Johnson, Chapa, and Hardin had one run each.
Next was a 19-3 dismantling of Midland Christian.
Gongalez, Johnson, and Lewis scored three ruins each.
Kargl, Ramirez, Locano, and Murry crossed the plate twice each while Bratcher and Hardin crossed once each.
Stanton’s next two games were big losses. The first was a 17-2 loss to Ballinger and the second a 16-2 loss to Greenwoond.
Ramirez, Chapa, Lewis, and Lozano provided one run apiece.
