FORSAN - The Grady Wildcats were too much for Forsan to handle as Grady opened its season with a 47-17 thrashing.
The two teams looked evenly matched after the first frame a Grady had the slimmest 5-4 lead.
But everything changed in the second quarter with Grady scoring 12, 19, and 12 points while only allowing Forsan4, 0, and 8 points.
“This was a great first game for the young Grady Wildcats,” said Grady coach Chris Short. “They executed very well on both ends of the floor. All nine players contributed to the victory.
Aaron Rodgers scored a game high 14 points and Chapman Sims added 12.
Hagan O’Donnell tossed in seven points while Hunter McAnally tallied five and Hunter Blaylock posted four.
Cyle Taylor and Colt Carson end the game with two points each and Stetson Foster rounded out the books with one point.
