GRADY - The Grady Wildcats and Rankin Red Devils junior high football teams appear to be very evenly matched as the two squads played to a 24-24 tie last Thursday.
Cal McMorries led the Grady offense with 161 yards rushing and two touchdows and 79 yards passing and one touchdown.
McMorries tied the game with 11 second remaining with a 58 yard touchdown run.
Truman Stack picked up 15 yards rushing and Charles Deatherage added 79 yards and one touchdown receiving.
On special teams McMorries scooped up a kick off and went 58 yards for a touchdown.
On defense, McMorries racked up nine tackles followed by Braxton Dillard, Deatherage, Stack, and Logan Rodriguez with six tackles each.
Lane Cearly ended the night with four tackles and Karson Ledford, Knight Durham, and Camden Wiebe added one tackle each.
Also on defense, Dillard had a forced fumble, Deatherage two fumble recoveries, and Stack had a fumble recovery.
