STANTON – The Stanton junior high girls’ basketball teams took on Odessa Compass Academy on Monday.
Stanton’s seventh grade girls wasted no time starting the game with a 12-2 run and coasting to a 35-9 victory.
Addison finished with a game high 15 points.
Bailey tossed in eight followed by Lily with six, Katarina four, and Marissa 2.
The eighth grade girls’ game was slightly closer but Stanton still dominated.
The Lady Buffs built a marginal 15-10 halftime but won the game convincingly 38-22.
Chavez and Glover led Stanton with eight points each.
Smith and Barrera contributed six points apiece and Barnes added five.
Moore and Melton chipped in two points each and Vasquez scored one.
