KLONDIKE – The Grady Wildcats junior varsity basketball team needed a perfect fourth quarter to rally for a victory over the Klondike Cougars last week in Klondike.
On Feb. 1, Klondike took an early 6-2 lead over Grady and held on to lead 11-7 by halftime.
Grady put together a nice third quarter performance to cut the Cougar’s lead to 15-14 with one quarter left to play.
During the fourth quarter, Grady’s defense held Klondike scoreless and Hunter Blalock hit some free throws with 15 seconds remaining in the game to give Grady the lead and the eventual 16-15 victory.
Stetson Foster led Grady in scoring with five points and Daulton Saunders added three points. Hagan O’Donnell, Hunter Blaylock, Blake Parker, and
Hagan O’Donnell, Hunter Blaylock, Blake Parker, and Cyle Taylor contributed two points each.
