Coahoma wins both district track crowns

COAHOMA – The Stanton Buffalo high school track teams competed in the District 5-AAA Meet in Coahoma last week.

Athletes finishing in the top four spot in the varsity division qualify to compete at Area on Apr. 21 in Sonora.

In the varsity boy’s division, Coahoma won the team title with 159.5 points followed by Crane in second with 122.5 and Sonora in third with 121. Big Lake placed fourth scoring 114 points, Odessa Compass Academy was fifth with 57, and Stanton finished sixth with 44 points.

The junior varsity boys division was won by Big Lake with 197 points. Coahoma was runner-up with 171 points and Sonora took third scoring 83 points. Stanton and Odessa Compass Academy were fourth with 57 points each and Crane was sixth with 27 points.
