LEVELLAND - The Grady Wildcats and Lady Cats competed in the Region I-1A Track Meet this past weekend at South Plains College in Levelland.
Sydney Gonzales dominated the pole vault competition with a vault of 10-09, earning the gold medal and qualifying for State.
She also set a new Grady High School record.

The State 1A meet is currently schedule for May 14 in Austin. Gonzales is the heavy favorite to win the vault as she is the only athlete in Class A to go higher than 10’ 3”.
