STANTON - The Stanton Buffaloes varsity baseball team improved to 9-17 this season from a 1-24 record the previous season.
For just the second time in school history, the Buffaloes made the state playoffs.
Stanton faced state powerhouse Wall in the first round at Abilene Christian University. Wall ended the Buffaloes season with a score of 15-2 in game one and 16-0 in game two.
“The baseball team had one of the best seasons since I’ve been coaching here in the past three years and possibly overall,” said coach Rodriguez. “I’m proud of my boys and how they bought in to the new tradition.”
