Railroad Commission Approves Toxic Waste Ponds Next to Baptist Camp
Martin Water is building an oil and gas waste recycling facility next to the Circle 6 Baptist Camp in the Permian Basin despite concerns of water and air pollution.

Lawyers for Circle 6 Baptist Camp submitted this image as evidence for their argument that the double liner system at the Martin Water facility would not adequately protect groundwater of the Ogallala Aquifer. Based on their geological surveys, there is no natural barrier in between the produced water pits and the water table.
