MIDLAND - Jesse Jerome Tryon, Jr., 18, of Midland, died Jan. 25, 2020 in Odessa. A Wake service will be on Jan. 31, at 7 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Funeral service will be Feb. 1, at 11 am at True-Lite Christian Fellowship with burial to follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

ODESSA - Tonya McAlpin Artzer died suddenly in her sleep at her apartment in Odessa, on Dec. 9, 2019. She was 55 years old. Born in Abilene, on Oct. 3, 1964, She grew up with her mother, father, and brother in Spur.

Apolonio (Polo) Mendez III

STANTON - Apolonio (Polo) Mendez III, 54, died Jan. 14, 2020, in a Lubbock hospital. He spent two months at the University Medical Center Burn Unit, and another two months at Covenant Specialty Hospital after suffering electrical burns. Viewing and family visitation was Jan.

TYLER - Vida Angel Pinkston was born Dec. 3, 1924 in Courtney, and died on Jan. 13, 2020, in Tyler. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMU. She went on many mission trips with her church family in Stanton.

MIDLAND - Thomas (Tommy) Benavides Sanchez Sr, 60, of Midland, died Jan. 11, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 2, 1959, to Paubla and Pablo Sanchez in Stanton. He became a lifelong resident of Midland. He married Irene Reyes on Mar. 28, 1980, and was married for 40 blessed years.
