Danny Ireton Memorial golf tournament raises over $50,000

- The Danny Ireton Memorial presented by Cox Cattle Company raised over $50,000 over the weekend at Ratliff Ranch Golf Links for the First Responder Families of West Texas.The tournament had 32 teams and 128 player vying for tournament championship.

Having grown up on the farm, I was constantly going hunting. But this experience was unlike any hunting adventure I had ever witnessed. It was 1929 & I was the superintendent of schools in the Texas Panhandle town of Darrouzett, Texas. That year or two, the rabbit population just went out of site.
