- Midwestern State University recognized 977 honor students for the Spring 2025 semester. The President's Honor Roll included 360 students, the Provost's Honor Roll included 267 students and the Dean's Honor Roll included 350 students.

Garden City junior joins Martin County Messenger

- The Messenger is excited to welcome Sydnee Gully as our new intern. Sydnee will be a junior this fall at Garden City High School and will be helping us with Garden City coverage and contributing stories to the paper.Sydnee has lived her whole life on a farm with her parents and sister.

Public encouraged to attend emergency planning meeting, here June 17

- Martin County is holding a Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meeting on Tuesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. at the new community center located at 909 Millhollan Way in Stanton.The LEPC is made up of people from emergency services, such as the sheriff’s office, EMS, fire department, and police.
