The Martin County Hospital ER expansion will add two larger trauma rooms, bringing the total to four, while improving ambulance access to the emergency department for faster, more efficient patient transport.
- Construction has been underway at Martin County Hospital District's emergency department for about three months, and MCHD CEO Nancy Cooke says things are running smoothly.
"It is going very well," Cooke said. "We realize that construction is a disruption for our staff and for our patients. But everybody is, again, excited about what the end result is going to be."
