Christ is Better
Everywhere we look we see troubled people. Trouble reported on the News of death, terrorism and war. There is turmoil all around and the world will become more confused, frustrated and angry until it returns to its Maker.
Aren’t we thankful there is peace in Jesus, The Prince of Peace, the son of God. If we invite Him into our hearts and live in Him, we can have peace in the midst of the storms of life. The Bible says “He has delivered us from the power of darkness [Colo.1:13]
Oh, we may see some dark times, but the impact of darkness will not hit us as hard as it will the world because we have a buffer. Then that scripture goes on to say” and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love ”. He is our Buffer. Jesus told Nicodemus ye must be born again. Those who are Born Again are the ones who have been delivered out of the power of darkness. Those are the ones who live in the kingdom of the Son of God.
So many times Christians are not claiming what is available to them, because they have been trained to live like the world lives. They look and act just like the world because that is the accepted thing. We all want to be accepted. Jesus said” If they have called the Master of the house [Jesus] Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of His house”[Matt.10:25].
Then in verse twenty two ”You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But He who endures to the end will be saved”. We do not want to be hated; we want everyone to like us.
Salvation is free; the kingdom of God is free. However we have to learn to live in that freedom. Being a disciple will cost us something. Paul said “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” [Acts 4:20].
Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship with the Savior. They tried to shut Jesus up and times have not changed. If we really love people we will love them enough to tell them the truth at any cost.
From the time when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the tree He told them not to, at that moment mankind fell. That caused every person born after Adam to be born in that fallen sinful nature. From that day, everyone needs a savior. A person accepts Jesus who is The Savior or, by doing nothing, satan and hell has automatically been chosen.
God created us with a free choice. He has never taken that free choice away from us. He woo’s us and draws us by His Spirit, but the decision of eternal life is ours.
Jesus wants you to come to him just as you are. You can’t be so good you don’t need a savior, and there is no sin so bad He won’t forgive. There is no person so bad He won’t Love. There is no other way. Jesus said ‘I am The Way the truth and the life, none comes to the Father but by Me” Salvation does not come by joining a church, not by works, not by baptism.
There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. Repenting for our sins, believing that Jesus is the son of God, that He came and died for our sins and was resurrected from the dead, overcoming satan for us. Then we accept what Jesus did for us, and that is the only way to Heaven.
What is there in this world that is better than Eternal Life with Christ Jesus? I have lived for the devil and I have lived for Christ. “Christ Is Better” !!
