MARTIN COUNTY - A pair of ignorant dimwits just picked up extra charges after losing their tempers with Martin County Sheriff’s Office officials.

Since Felix Nosa Omoruyi was booked into the Martin County Jail on Nov. 5 following his infamous hunt, he has been a less than model inmate.

He has had a poor at titude and cannot get along with the other inmates so he was removed from general population and placed in his own cell.

“The other day he got upset because his request for more food was denied,” stated Martin County Chief Deputy Ernie Wakefield. “He then

proceeded to do $5000 worth of damage to his cell. When the deputy and jailer entered his cell to move him to the punishment cell, he physically resisted which resulted in him

getting tased and placed in the violent cell.”

Since then his attitude has improved and Omoruyi has been removed from the violent cell and placed back into a single cell.

Omoruyi originally received sentences of 60 days in jail for his misdemeanor terroristic threat and trespass of a habitat, but now he has been charged with criminal mischief of county property which is a state jail felony. His bond was set at $15,000 and he could face the state jail felony penalty of up to

180 days to 2 years in state jail and fines reaching $10,000.

On Nov. 28, Ivan Guadalupe Hermosillo was pulled over on Interstate 20 for reckless driving by Martin County Deputy Jace Dorner.

Hermosillo appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both. When questioned he believed that he was still in Odessa.

When Dorner attempted to restrain him, he became super aggressive and assaulted the deputy with multiple head butts causing injury.

Dorner managed to get the upper hand, arrest and transport Hermosillo to jail.

Instead of just getting a reckless driving charge, Hermosillo also received a class A misdemeanor resisting arrest charge and a third-degree felony charge of assault of a peace officer.

His bond went from $1500 for the reckless charge to a total of $41,500 and the potential of 10 years in prison.
