Filiberto (Pache) Hinojosa

STANTON - Filiberto Hinojosa, of Stanton, died Aug. 31, 2017. Funeral services were Sept. 5, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stanton. Interment followed at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Rosary was Sept. 3 and 4, at Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel. He was born Oct. 25, 1951 in Stanton. He married and raised his five children in Stanton. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He also worked in the oilfield for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife Elziria (Elsie) Hinojosa; parents Filiberto Sr. and Elida Hinojosa; brothers Epifanio Hinojosa Sr. and Domingo Hinojosa and sisters Esmeralda Casteneda and Josephina Hewetty. He is survived by his daughters Corene Hinojosa of Stanton, and Tina Hinojosa of Big Spring; sons Philip Hinojosa and wife Tara of Greenwood, Andrew Hinojosa and wife Sandy of Big Spring, and Anthony Hinojosa of Stanton; sister Angie Aguirre of Stanton; brothers Favian Hinojosa Sr. of Stanton, Juan Hinojosa of Chapparal, NM, Reymundo Hinojosa of Midland and seven grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Hinojosa, Thomas DiMase, Eric Hinojosa, RJ Hinojosa, Justin Hinojosa, and Freddy Hinojosa. Honorary pallbearers are Favian (Gordo) Hinojosa Jr., Colton Hinojosa, Braden Flores, Luis Anaya, and Kristyan Anaya. Arrangements were under the direction of Stanton Memorial Funeral Home and Chapel.
